Cyfarthfa Greenhouses are managed by the Outside Projects team who provide support to adults with a learning disability to maintain and run the greenhouses.
We run a monthly workshop of horticultural/seasonal based activities open to members of the public. We also offer horticultural sessions for schools which are fun and practical with links to the science curriculum.
Cyfarthfa Greenhouses also operate hydroponic greenhouses where individual beds can be booked for use by members of the public.
We promote social inclusion and our aim is to help people to learn and develop skills to enable them to fulfil their potential.
We work in partnership with:
The HLF volunteering programme
MTCBC Social Services (Adults)
ACL – Adult Community Learning
MTIB – Merthyr Tydfil Institute for the Blind
These partnerships enable us to provide a varied choice of opportunities to all members of the local community.
Cyfarthfa Greenhouses are open to members of the public. It is a lovely place to visit where you can also purchase a wide variety of plants and hanging baskets made to order.
